This morning we are docked at Tallinn, Estonia.
Megan has a 9:00 appointment to have her hair trimmed. The before and after:
We have a Silversea Spirit parked next to us, and several others on the other side.
Tallinn is not a large city and Estonia is not a large country. The country only has a population of 1.3 million.
Our tour does not begin until 12:15, but after breakfast and Megan's hair cut, we walked off the ship to the pier and did a little souvenir shopping. I got some Tallinn gin and a bag of boar jerky for Maria's dog.
The tour this afternoon is of the old town of Tallinn and then to a chocolate factory where we will try our hand at making chocolate candies.
The history of Estonia is one of foreign domination. Over the past 500 years, Estonia has been independent only 50 of those years. Estonia has been conquered by the Danes, the Germans, the Dutch, the French, the Fins and most recently, the Russians. It became independent again in 1992 with the collapse of the Soviet Union. They have a parliamentary form of government, are members of the EU and NATO.

After the old town, we walked over to the chocolate factory. While I did not believe we would actually make chocolate, I thought we would observe how chocolate was made. I was wrong. We participated in making our own chocolate candies from chocolate.

Farewell to Estonia.
For dinner, we went to the sushi restaurant. We ate a lot. We had two large bowls of Edamame, Salmon Tataki salad, a total of signature five rolls, sushimi, nigari, maki and of course the signature cocktail. It was all so good!
Tomorrow we arrive in St. Petersberg. We will have breakfast delivered again. We have a 8:15 tour in the morning and another in the afternoon.
