Our transfer to the Seabourn Ovation is not until 2:30 pm. The kids had a tough night due to jet lag. Around midnight, they were both up. Finally they settled down again and I finally woke them at 8:00 am so we could get ready and go down for breakfast. Checkout is at noon.
After breakfast, we returned to the room, retrieved our luggage and dropped them off at the Concierge. We then checked out and started walking up the river boardwalk.

Our driver to the ship |
Unlike our ship on the Atlantic crossing, this veranda has wind breaks at the doors.
We met Maggie, our suite stewardess. She is very nice and from Cameroon. She asked if there was anything we would like. I asked for diet tonic and Megan asked for root beer. Maggie asked Megan if she preferred Heineken or Becks. Megan thought she said Barks and said that was her preference. Yep, it was only a short time later that Maggie showed up with my diet tonic and Megan's can of Beck's beer...for a 12 year old kid! They aim to please! We explained to Maggie that root beer was a non-alcoholic soda. They don't carry it.
